- Font Features
The Font Features submenu changes for each selected font to enable the features available for each specific font to be edited. These features vary from font to font but typically include such items as ligatures, vertical position, letter case, and alternate characters.
- Font Substitution
Enable or disable font substitution for the selected text block(s). Font substitution is a property of a text block that tells Intaglio to use a glyph from another font if the specified font doesn't contain a glyph for a particular character. For example, the Symbol font contains glyphs for greek letters but not for standard latin characters (i.e., a, b, c, etc.). When font substitution is on, Intaglio will substitute glyphs from another font when you use latin characters in a text block with this font. When font substitution is off you'll see a "missing character" symbol (i.e., a hollow rectangle).
